I received a phone call yesterday from a collection agency that stated I had an unpaid phone bill from 1998, when I lived in Missourri….11 years ago! I have moved overseas and back to the US since then, 4 times. Unfortunately I don’t have any reciepts or paperwork from back then, then again who does? I don’t ever remember any of my phone bills ever going to collection. Is this even legal for someone to claim you owe them money, 11 years later? Any input is appreciated.
